How often do you walk down a street and see a shop that’s been gutted or new signs being hung atop the glassy façade? Canadian brothers Ben and Hall Smyth decided to create a space where change is a good thing, GrandOpening. The New York-based shop will change its theme every three months – it started out as Pong, a place where table tennis fanatics and friends can hang out and play a bit of ping pong. The new theme has just been installed, and this time it’s a drive-in movie, complete with a 1965 Ford Falcon and popcorn machine. www.139norfolk.com
